M-12: Office of the National Fire Administration
The climate crisis is making heat waves, extreme heat and wildfires more common and more deadly. Alongside bold climate action, Canada must take comprehensive efforts to protect communities. Integrating fire safety principles across government and legislation, using insights with firefighters and experts, is an important first step.
That’s why MP Johns introduced Motion M-12. This motion calls on the government to establish a National Fire Administration, which would integrate fire safety principles into policymaking and the development of civil infrastructure projects.
